One of the great paradoxes of life is that we must go inward in order to find the road out of ourselves.
That is what life asked me to do 15 years ago.
After a long period of trying to run away from dark thoughts and feelings my body and mind collapsed.
And that was the best thing that could ever happen to me!
Before this breakdown I never wondered about what living really means.
I just followed the rules that systems like school, family, friends and the media where showing.
Little by little I woke up to a much more consious and fulfilling life.
I started to wonder again about everything around me.
And I also started to question all the beliefs and ideas that blocked me from living my unique potential.
Each time I dared to let go of limiting beliefs, relationships, and careers whole new levels of spontaneous living opened up to me.
I left my job as a marketeer in the corporate world and became a vitalitycoach and yogateacher.
In this decade I researched and explored the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels of wellbeing and teached about it. Together with my husband, Jeroen, I regularly still do.
5 years ago me and Jeroen decided to take another leap.
We started living in our campervan so we could travel around Europe together with our dog, Floyd.
In these adventurous years I became one with nature and with my creativity through photography.
Nowadays we live half of the time in our cosy home in the south of the Netherlands.
The other half of the year we start the engine of our campervan to travel around.
Mostly in mountain area’s.
When I am photographing or post processing I immediately fly down the rabbit hole into ‘the flowzone’.
Time and thoughts disappear and I start to feel and see like Alice in Wonderland.
It doesn’t matter at all if the results afterwards are rewarding or not.
Photography is my way of exploring the deeper levels of life with curiosity and wonder.
It’s as if I am on the kindergarten playground again.
Experiencing every moment completely fresh and new.
